Český Krumlov
Picturesquely situated on a bend of the Vltava river, the small town Český Krumlov (German: Krumlov) is surrounded by the green hills of the Šumava. A stroll through the tranquil old town with its numerous listed buildings and winding alleyways takes you back to bygone eras, while the castle complex enthroned above the town bears witness to the town’s influential history. Today, this area together with the castle theatre forms the cultural centre of the annual festival of baroque arts, which takes place in autumn. Experience the original baroque stage of the theatre during a performance - a rarity, which was rightly included in the UNESCO world cultural heritage in 1992.

Located in the triangle of the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria, the South Bohemian Krumlov is far away from the hustle and bustle - we recommend that you travel by car for your journey and for possible day trips.
