Take your time and let yourself drift through this wonderful city, from Schönbrunn to Simmering, from the Au to the Belvedere Gardens, from the Naschmarkt to the Albertina. The possibilities of an approach to this hospitable, historical city are almost inexhaustible. The number of composers, artists and musicians who have worked in Vienna and left their mark is also almost endless. That is why the metropolis on the Danube was, is and will remain the musical superlative in the 2021/22 season.

For the planned five premieres, the Vienna State Opera has selected "revolutionary works, works that have changed the course of cultural history," according to director Bogdan Roščić. Rossini’s "Il barbiere di Siviglia" will be followed by a new production of "Don Giovanni," followed next year by Alban Berg’s "Wozzeck" directed by Simon Stone. A new "Tristan und Isolde" will be heard in April, and Monteverdi’s masterpiece "L’Orfeo" will close the premiere ring in June 2022. A wonderful repertoire program that not many houses can put together surrounds these new productions. In addition, Cecilia Bartoli does the honors for five evenings under the motto "Rossini Mania" as part of a guest performance by the Monaco Opera.

The music, the art, the beauty is food! Therefore, we would also like to highly recommend visits to the Theater an der Wien with its exciting productions, the Musikverein with its Golden Hall, the Konzerthaus or the Volks- and Burgtheater.

In these times, this is perhaps even more worth mentioning: we will be very happy to put together your very own individual program or supplement existing arrangements according to your personal wishes. Our partner hotels are unique in their history and quality and some of them are true "hotel legends." Come to Vienna!
